what happened:
I asked Void to recommend second hand book shops - alibris, powells,
bookfinder, abebooks, justbooks, amazon, skoob, waterstones, Rochester,
Hay-on-Wye.
Aaron got married! His photos didn't come out well. We all blamed Aaron.
John McDonnell had a bizarre encounter, leading to discussion of two-mice
systems, and graphics tablets.
Ashley is working class, and McDonalds is a rare treat for him. Instances of
Rock'n'Roll McDonalds around the world were posted.
Ashley pointed out the demise of hamsterdance. No one cared.
Eastern Europe has a lot of Tescos.
We had a bank holiday in the UK. I went to see The Isle; David Cantrell had
a plumber in his bathroom.
Arp won a model bus from Squarecanary; a site which received the worst
review I've ever seen in New Media Age. Patrick had won "Worms 2" with a
T-shirt, and "Feeling Minnesota".
Collin Forbes has a strange cookie war with his coworkers. I would try to
bring in cookies with the oddest fillings that people would still eat. Fancy
a sweetcorn and Smartie double choc?
I watched a programme called "Derren Brown - Mind Control 2". Some
interesting tricks/experiments, some involving stage hypnotism. Simon
Winstow isn't convinced he was hypnotised, even though an inflatable shark
was chasing him. Note to self: I think we can have fun with this down the
pub.

Many people saw tele programmes about Romans. Did the Roman Empire fall?
This expanded into cheesy tele programmes about how civilisations died out.
Start here:

I think we solved many of the great mysteries, including the decline of the
Mayan empire, location of Altantis, roots of all religion, and English earth
mounds. Ashley converted to Rastafarianism. Randal talked about his visit to
Stonehenge, and access rights to such monuments was discussed.
It was pretty warm in London. Mike Moran was warmer in Berlin. Ade pretended
to be a tourist.

The Berlin metro system, the Venice ferries, and a number of European public
transport systems rely on honesty, with no barriers, no checks, and very
small fines. I wanted more places to be capable of running like that.
Several people wanted public transport to stay open later - it was pointed
out that this is when maintenance and cleaning happens.
T shirts are a recurring theme. We're still trying to find a good t-shirt
printer in London. Simon Batistoni wanted a THAT WOULD BE A GOOD T-SHIRT
SLOGAN t-shirt.
Dave C has a machine celebrating it's 150th day of uptime. A discussion on
UPSes and clean shutdowns.

3D is rearing its ugly photo-realistically-rendered head on the web again.
There was even a mention of Boo by paulm, some flash-bashing, some
bad-business-bashing. As usual we're all far too nice and settled on using
the best tool for the job.
There were baby pictures.

I am waiting for someone in the office to become a father... 3 days overdue
and counting.
People waxed and waned about the new New Order album. Mojo is the new Q is
the new Record Collector is the new trade rag.
new/returning/irregular posters:

Ciaran Mc Namara (with two mice)
alex (making a conscious decision)

ade (revolting revolving)
Rick Booth (being pulled out of bookshops)
Aaron Trevena (wants to be together)
Ian Warford (formed out of traffic)
